Lil Durk Signs with Alamo Records

The Chicago native was formerly signed to Def Jam.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Lil Durk has signed with Alamo Records under the Interscope umbrella after leaving Def Jam this past year, Billboard reports. The Chicago rapper will reportedly release Signed to the Streets 3 project as his debut album under Alamo, and his third overall studio album.

"I went somewhere that made me feel like I was a top priority; a place that needed me just as much as I needed them," Durk said in a statement. "Since the beginning of the discussions with Todd, Shari, Joie, Nigel and the people over Alamo and Interscope, they made me feel that way. Plus the money was lovely. My team and I went a whole year and a half where we basically did everything on our own. It made us stronger. Now that Alamo and Interscope partnered with us, the sky is the limit for sure."

Upon leaving Def Jam, Durk dropped the independent mixtape titled Just Cause Y'all Waited back in March, which featured guest verses from Lil Baby, Ty Dolla $ign, Gunna, and more.
