Former actor from The Cosby Show Geoffrey Owens was spotted by a fan packing groceries at a Trader Joe’s grocery store in New Jersey.
The story was first made public by Fox News, which seemed like an attempt to shame the actor who played “Elvin”, the quirky husband of the eldest Huxtable daughter “Sandra”. Almost instantly, the story went viral and several Hollywood notables and fans alike came to Owens’ aid, supporting him and his lifestyle of maintaining honest work.
Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Everybody Hates Chris‘ Terry Crews showed their solidarity with Owens.
Crews, a former pro football player, admits that he even swept floors as a janitor after his stint in the NFL.
