Last night at the Juno Awards in Edmonton, Alberta, a topless protestor ran the stage while Avril Lavigne was presenting.
The protestor had “save the Greenbelt” painted on their body, with coverings over their nipples. The Greenbelt is a protected green space in Ontario that could be lost to development.
“Get the fuck off, bitch,” Lavigne said to the protestor. She repeated the phrase on her Twitter afterwards.
Lavigne also won the Juno Fan Choice award later in the night, saying as she hit the stage: “Now nobody try anything this time or the Canadian is going to come out of me, and I’m going to fuck a bitch up.”
