FIVIO FOREIGN APPEARS TO TAKE SHOTS AT ICE SPICE OVER KING OF NEW YORK TALK

The Flatbush native stopped by On the Radar Radio on Tuesday (March 19) to spit a few very angry bars about the matter, and also shouted out Tory Lanez in the process.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Fivio Foreign has made it clear that he’s not feeling the recent crowning of Ice Spice as the “King of New York” in a recent freestyle.

The Flatbush native stopped by On the Radar Radio on Tuesday (March 19) to spit a few very angry bars about the matter, and also shouted out Tory Lanez in the process.

How can a girl be the King of New York?” he asks at the 1:43 mark. “Real n-gga, hood livin’, free Tory, he in good spirits.

Fivio Foreign seems to feel a type of way about A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s praise of Ice Spice on Adin Ross’s podcast last month.

When asked who he thinks the current King of New York is, A Boogie replied: “Ice Spice got it right now … I feel like Ice is just wildin’ right now. She got it right now.”

Ross then suggested that the two rappers should link up for a song, to which A Boogie was receptive: “For real, though.”

The “Drowning” hitmaker also offered his definition of the “King of New York,” saying: “I feel like the people, the fans, make it that. I never really forced that on people. I was never on songs like, ‘I’m the King of New York.’

“It was a lot of people that was out here doing that and made people give their opinions. But on my end, that shit just fell in my lap. I’m just doing my thing. I like making fire music. The beauty of it is being able to sell out arenas.”

For her part, Ice Spice was flattered by the praise. The “Munch” rapper took to her Instagram Stories last month to share a post explaining how her fellow native New Yorker shouted her out in such a way.

She then added a laughing face emoji, and a heart emoji, under the post, indicating that she was clearly happy with the high praise.

Ice Spice arguably has a case for the current title. Since storming onto the scene with her breakout single “Much (Feelin’ U)” in 2022, the curly-haired rapper has proven she’s far from a one-hit wonder by scoring a string of Hot 100 hits such as “Deli,” “Princess Diana” with Nicki Minaj and, most recently, “Think U the Shit (Fart).”

She has also built a growing collection of awards and accolades, winning Best New Artist at the 2023 MTV VMAs and Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.
