Don Toliver has been arrested on suspicion of DUI after the rapper was reportedly caught driving erratically by California Highway Patrol.
TMZ got their hands on a report that outlined what happened when the Texas native was pulled over on Tuesday (April 9) by the CHP in the San Fernando Valley, outside of Los Angeles, CA.
The CHP claimed that they had reason to believe that Toliver was “impaired” while driving, which prompted them to pull him over.
The rapper was also with someone else in the car, who appeared to be sober. A field sobriety test was not administered. The rapper was subsequently given a citation and released.
This latest bit of bad news is a stark contrast to Toliver’s recent good news of welcoming a baby boy with his longtime love, Kali Uchis.
On March 14, the pair shared a joint Instagram post made up of clips with their newborn son soundtracked by G9rm’s “F.L.V.”
“You are everything we could have hoped for & more,” Uchis wrote about her offspring. “Thank you God for our beautiful healthy baby boy, & thank you all for the Good energy along the way. may our home & your homes forever be blessed with peace, happiness & health.”
Halle Bailey, Katy Perry and Kehlani were among those who hopped into the comments section to congratulate their peers.
Several months prior, the power couple shared the news of their impending parenthood by uploading a collaborative social media post made up of home-video snippets of themselves as small children as well as clips revealing the “See You Again” hitmaker’s baby bump.
Toliver could be seen caressing his partner’s belly and dancing with her in the wholesome montage. One of the frames even featured him kissing her stomach, prompting her to look at the camera and say: “Look how much daddy loves you, little pooks. He love you forever.”
In the caption, the 29-year-old wrote: “Starting our family [bandaged-heart emoji] don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”
Even then, Halle Bailey was among those who expressed their excitement over the news — which made sense, considering she gave birth to her first child not long before.
