Daddy Yankee Will Celebrate 20 Years in Music at the 2016 People En Español Festival

Daddy Yankee attends the Billboard Latin Conference 2016 at Ritz Carlton South Beach on April 27, 2016 in Miami Beach, Fla.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Daddy Yankee will be honored with People En Español's 20th Anniversary Award at its annual festival during Hispanic Heritage Month.

The chart-topping Puerto Rican reggaetonero will receive the special award to celebrate spending over two decades in the music industry -- his first album, No Mercy, was released in 1995. "His influence on our culture and on millions of people across the globe is emblematic of our brand’s mission to unite and inspire," said People En Español's publisher, Monique Manso.
