Who is Honey Made?
Honey Made isn’t just a band, they’re a movement of sound, soul, and community. Their setlist will feature originals like new single “Pass Me By,” tracks from their latest album “Charge It to the Band Fund,” and throwbacks from their debut album “Brand New,” plus a few surprise covers and reggae blends to keep the energy flowing. Lead vocalists Willie Barnes II and Donald Ford Jr. are known for drawing fans into the show, creating an immersive and uplifting experience that gets everyone moving. Honey Made is further comprised of: Brian Cokeley – Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals, Marcus Caldwell – Bass, Chris Barnes – Drums and vocals, Mark Saldana – Percussion, Dustin Hunter – Baritone Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Joseph Morrow – Trumpet, and Donald McDaniel – Trombone. The band’s goal is simple: get people smiling and moving, and send them home feeling better than when they walked in.
A Name with Heart
The journey of Honey Made began in 2013 with an earlier iteration of the band known as Mama K and the Shades. In 2018, after years of building their solid core, lead singer Mama K transitioned out. Shortly thereafter, the band suffered the loss of the other founding member David McNight, who tragically passed away in a drowning accident. The band recalls that while recording, David would always say, “that music is so sweet, it’s Honey Made.” As a tribute to his legacy and to keep his spirit alive in both their music and on stage, the band embarked on their next chapter by officially adopting the name "Honey Made."
Pardon my pun, but that’s the definition of sweet.
