The Brooklyn rapper mentions Nipsey Hussle, Chinx Drugs, Pop Smoke, and more.

Brooklyn sensation Lola Brooke has delivered another hard-hitting single and music video for her fans. In her latest thought-provoking track, “God Bless All The Rappers,” Lola homages some of the beloved Hip-Hop acts we lost to gun violence.

The chilling BenMarc-directed visual shows Lola dressed in all-black as she raps on top of a police car. She also highlights a Black man getting arrested, which references the many rappers who end up in jail or six feet under.

Elsewhere in the cinematic production, Lola basks in the harsh realities of street memorials, R.I.P t-shirts, and sentimental messages written about ones we’ve lost.

Atop a building in NYC, Lola powerfully lets it all out and command the space with just one mic as she raps: “How could you kill Pop Smoke? How could you kill PnB?/ How could you kill Chinx Drugz, King Von, MO3? How could you kill Drakeo the Ruler?/ Should be worried how they lose you/ XXX, Nipsey, both died from a shooter/ They say the most dangerous job is for the rappers/ We don’t never see it comin’, we use strategies for after/ That sh*t backwards, God bless all the rappers.”

The Millie Jackson-sampling track follows her more energetic release, “Don’t Get Me Started” featuring Coi Leray and singer-songwriter Nija. Both singles hail from her debut album Dennis Daughter, where she navigates much of her upbringing and road to fame.

The LP also boasts the official remix to “Don’t Play With It” featuring Latto and Yung Miami and her summer-love collab “You,” featuring Bryson Tiller.

Speaking of creating her first album, Lola said, “It took me a long time to write Dennis Daughter. In general, it just took me a long time to tribute a song to my father. So when I heard the beat, the chills just went through my body and I was just like, ‘This is it.’ And as an artist, when you’re in the studio, you’re there to build and create, so it shouldn’t be hard, it should just be art.”

She added, “It was very important for me to show different layers of who I am because the only story I can tell is Dennis’ daughter’s story. And before Lola Brooke, I was Dennis’ daughter.”
