The 27-year-old American singer may have risen to become one of the most famous stars on the music charts in the past year, but she has been reflecting on simpler times.
Appearing on the Las Culturistas podcast this week, the Pink Pony Club singer revealed that she has a soft spot for little pet rodents.
She said, "I'm really glad that guinea pigs have their own culture online because I'm a guinea pig girl.
"I'm just obsessed with them. I had four at a time but they passed away. I think they're the cutest animals on earth."
Roan went on to reveal that she used to help look after abandoned guinea pigs in her pre-fame days.
She said, "I volunteered at a guinea pig rescue for a year. I love rodents in general and the guinea pig community online is awesome."
Last month, fans were thrilled when Roan released her latest single, The Giver, which sparked hopes that she could soon unleash a second album to follow her 2023 debut, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
However, the star dashed hopes when she fielded questions during a Q&A with fans on TikTok.
Hearts were broken when she declared, "New album? Great question. We're so beyond... so beyond far away from that, I could not even tell you."
