Audrey Nuna has signed a record deal with Republic Records and will begin the next stage of her career with superHuman. The Cirkut produced single arrives on Friday (07.08.26).
The deal follows a major year for the emerging artist, who provided the voice of Mira in KPop Demon Hunters before sharing an Oscar victory with HUNTR/X for the movie’s original song Golden.
Nuna believes Republic Records is the ideal place for her future plans, telling Variety: “I feel privileged to join a company that is committed to supporting the next generation of music and culture.”
She created superHuman while experiencing major changes in her life, describing the song as a moment of understanding that came after receiving more attention than ever before.
She explained: “I wanted the track to express the feeling of being restored, finally recognised and seeing everything begin to shift in a better direction.
“At the same time, I wanted to gently remind myself and everyone listening that we must remain human. Choosing to embrace our humanity can always become a special strength when we allow it.”
The release also includes a major connection with the gaming world. Nuna has partnered with Riot Games to make superHuman an official song for the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour. It is her second collaboration with the franchise following Toxic in January.
Meanwhile, Netflix plans to bring KPop Demon Hunters to audiences around the world through a major international concert tour next year.
At the streaming platform’s Upfront 2026 presentation in New York City in May, Netflix announced that supporters of the hugely successful animated musical can expect “a live production that recreates parts of the film, which won two Oscars, in an exciting and visually impressive way.”
Netflix President of Advertising Amy Reinhard said during the event: “It is clear that very few releases have attracted worldwide interest on the same level as KPop Demon Hunters.
“Fans attended group singing events, dressed as the characters for Halloween and celebrated the film everywhere from the U.S. Open to Buckingham Palace. Bookings for flights to Korea even increased by 25 per cent. KPop Demon Hunters remains the biggest film on Netflix, and we are thrilled to reveal that we will continue its success next year with our first worldwide concert tour, created alongside AEG Presents. The production will help audiences feel even more connected to the characters and songs they already love, and we hope you will join us. More details about the cities will be revealed later this year, so watch this space.”
Fans can join the waitlist at kpopdemonhunterslive.com to receive the earliest updates about which cities the concert will visit in 2027.
Directed by Maggie Kang, the film centres on HUNTR/X, a girl group whose members secretly work as demon hunters. They confront the rival demon boy band Saja Boys while also dealing with their own personal struggles. Its combination of memorable songs and action has appealed to viewers of every age, with social media filled with clips of fans performing the hit Golden.
The movie has become the most viewed film in Netflix history.
