December 10 have secured a place in chart history after their eagerly awaited first EP, On Your Side, debuted at number five on the UK Official Albums Chart. Issued through EMI Records, the collection generated 13,035 chart sales across the UK during its first week. The achievement makes On Your Side the highest charting EP released in 2026 so far and the most successful debut EP from a British boyband in more than 10 years. December 10 have also become the first British boyband in over five years to reach the top five of the UK Official Albums Chart.
Featuring Cruz, Danny, Hendrik, John, Josh, Nicolas and Seán, the seven member group reached the landmark only seven months after coming together on Simon Cowell’s international Netflix series, The Next Act. Since their launch in December 2025, the band have quickly developed into a major cultural force, attracting more than 30 million streams, 22.9 million YouTube views and a combined social media audience of 3.7 million followers.
Created in leading music cities such as Los Angeles, London, Nashville and Stockholm, the EP includes work from acclaimed pop producers Julian Bunetta, Poo Bear and Savan Kotecha. Its main track, “Us Against The World,” uses an inventive interpolation of Cutting Crew’s classic song “(I Just) Died in Your Arms.” The seven musicians also bring live instrumentation into the modern boyband sound, collectively playing an impressive 14 instruments.
News of the chart result reached December 10 backstage during the UK and Ireland portion of their major headline tour, December 10: The Next Step. The band will celebrate the top five debut with fans tonight during the first of two fully sold out concerts at London’s O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. After a packed summer that included a performance at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium, the group will keep building its live presence with upcoming appearances at Summer Sonic Japan and the Reading & Leeds Festival.
