Pop-dance Duo CX2 Ryder Unleash Love and Healing on the Dance Floor with Single ‘Heal on the Dance Floor’

CX2 Ryder’s recent single, “Connection,” has gained international recognition, landing at #36 on the Hot 100 radio chart in the U.S.

Pop-dance duo CX2 Ryder releases a dance anthem full of love, healing, and – ultimately – acceptance. Carving a place in the music industry for their impassioned dance hits, CX2 Ryder looks to create more than just music.

“Representation in this space matters. We don’t always have the greatest role models in this space, so we want to be those people for our fans,” tells CX2 Ryder.

Comprised of a real-life same-sex couple, CX2 Ryder is the brainchild of artists Ryder West and CX2. Branching out from his career as an independent artist, Ryder West brings years of experience across the board to the collaborative space of CX2 Ryder. With a strong background in both design and music, CX2 contributes flair, novelty, and an enduring mission to connect with others through music. CX2’s love for music is euphoric. “It doesn’t matter if I’m designing a couture piece or writing a song, creativity is present and my spirituality feeds off creative energy,” he adds.

CX2 Ryder’s recent single, “Connection,” has gained international recognition, landing at #36 on the Hot 100 radio chart in the U.S. The artists have also broken the Top 40 on multiple formats, reaching #34 on National Radio Hits AC40 with 3,023 weekly spins and #38 on NRH Top 40 with 2,906 spins – all while gaining traction on the New Music Weekly’s AC/Hot AC and Top 40 charts. CX2 Ryder – an emerging act in the world of industry giants – is excited to grace the charts alongside contemporary artists including Katy Perry, Madonna, and Bruno Mars.

Self-described as “two people in love, creating from that place, and opening the door for others to do the same,” CX2 Ryder is the artist you’ve been waiting to look up to. Melding joy and purpose, the duo creates music that supersedes the sonic and transcends the soul. “[Our] work speaks directly to the LGBTQ+ community, not with grand declarations, but with something more enduring: visibility, honesty, and shared experience,” CX2 Ryder informs.

“When we combine, we make magic happen,” tells CX2 Ryder. “We didn’t have someone like us to look up to. So, we want to be the inspiring couple that generations look up to. We want kids growing up to know that you deserve the life you’ve always dreamed of. You will find love and acceptance.”

When it comes to writing music, CX2 Ryder have found harmony in the process. “We have different styles, but the beauty is finding the contrast in that. You can hear in our music how Ryder is influenced and how CX2 is influenced. It gives the aesthetic of turning two things into one. We try to meet in between in our creative process.”

“Heal on the Dance Floor” came to CX2 Ryder in the form of a 70s retro vibe which swiftly took on elements of 80s dance with modern synth, and eventually evolved into the song we hear today.

According to the artist, “‘Heal on the Dance Floor’ came from a simple question: What happens before you’re ready to find love again? Sometimes, you have to heal from what came before. The song lives in that space between heartbreak and hope—when you’re still carrying the sadness but beginning to rediscover your joy. It’s about trusting that love will find you when the time is right, and until then, the best medicine is a dance floor.”

“Wherever you are — dance it off,” CX2 reminds us. “Listen to the music and heal. Overall, this song is both a happy and sad song. It says, “this hurt, but I’m going to meet you.’ Time will bring you the right person and you have to trust that. In the meantime, enjoy your life and dance it out.”

Up next for the duo is the release of “Heal on the Dance Floor (Chris Cox Remix)” by the legendary and Grammy-winning producer, DJ Chris Cox.

Over the next year – and leading up to their 2027 debut album, Connection – CX2 Ryder plans to release more music, music videos, and content for listeners everywhere. The eight-track album features one song per year of their shared life. “Every song we’ve written is from the perspective of a stage of life,” shares the duo. “Every song has symbolism on our concept record.”

Ultimately, CX2 Ryder’s greatest goal is to bring people joy—to create music that makes them feel seen, understood, and a little less alone

"Music is more than sound—it can motivate, encourage, and remind us that what we feel matters,” shares CX2 Ryder. “It has the power to move people, bring us together, and inspire us to become better versions of ourselves. Our goal has always been to create more than a song; we want to tell stories that people can see themselves in and carry with them long after the music ends. Our story is genuine, and we hope people can feel that honesty in every song we create.”

“Heal on the Dance Floor” is available on all streaming platforms, with promotional support from Starlight PR.
