Blink-182 have revealed a new partnership with Pac-Man marking the 25th anniversary of their pop punk favourite ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’.
The limited edition merchandise range will include a numbered Blink-182 x Pac-Man Comic Con vinyl pressing of Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, created by Blood Records.
Fans will also be able to purchase a Blink-182 edition of the Pac-Man x 7-Eleven shirt worn by bassist Mark Hoppus during the group’s return performance at Coachella Festival in 2023. “A moment that unexpectedly captured the mix of Blink-182 humor, arcade nostalgia and convenience store culture will now be shared with fans during San Diego Comic-Con,” a statement explained. The items will be available from July 23 to July 26 at the dedicated Blink-182 x Pac-Man Comic Con stand, located at booth 1415.
A press statement added: “Comic Con attendees can take a trip down nostalgia lane at the Blink-182 x Pac-Man booth, with an arcade-themed space that also celebrates the cultural resurgence of the band as they commemorate the 25th anniversary of their defining album. The visually rich booth includes the stylised animated depiction of the band along with co-branded arcade cabinets and a claw machine with Pac-Man plush and other Blink-182 items as prizes.” Guests can also pose for photographs alongside Pac-Man and Blink-182’s bunny mascot.
Additional information about the partnership will be revealed shortly.
Blink-182 issued a 25th anniversary version of ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’ on streaming platforms last month. The release contains the original 13 songs along with six b sides, while a vinyl edition is currently available for pre order.
Blink-182 released their latest record, ‘One More Time…’, in 2023 and have already announced several major European concerts for next summer. The group will lead the lineups at Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park and Rock For People next June, followed by three headline performances in Berlin, Paris and Milan that same month.
Elsewhere, Fortnite has shared a fresh summer trailer hinting at an upcoming collaboration with pop singer Addison Rae.
