Jon Mads Blue releases “New Car” from creatively named album GRAVITY (no situation)

Jon composed “New Car” almost effortlessly as he was just plucking around on his guitar and the song came to him naturally.

Jon Mads Blue is a musician and singer/songwriter that has jumped back into music but never lost his love for it. His single “New Car” comes from his upcoming album named GRAVITY (no situation) is a pop/rock track rooted in relatability and a bit of humor.

Jon composed “New Car” almost effortlessly as he was just plucking around on his guitar and the song came to him naturally. This practically instantaneous creation speaks to how the music never truly left him even after he left it for decades of his life. His background in being gifted with poetry speaks to the lyrics coming naturally to him too. Simultaneously, this all comes as no surprise; he fell in love with music in his childhood years, picking up the guitar at 12 and being in a band at 16.

“Seeing Paul and John of The Beatles and just listening to their 45s drew me to the guitar. They made me want to try it and when I did it felt good. It took a little time for me to catch on to learning but now I'll never forget it." he said

The track “New Car” is about a guy who loves his car more than his girl which is meant to be taken from a humorous and relatable perspective. The name of the album, GRAVITY (no situation) also has some humor sprinkled on it too, playing off the expression “the gravity of the situation.” Decisions like this showcase how Jon approaches the music with a balanced blend of purpose and lightness.

As life continued for Jon, he found himself having less and less time for music. He was in real estate for 30 years and painted for five years but moved on from that. Time went on and he almost stumbled into making music again. He wasn’t looking for it but it found him.

“I found myself picking up a guitar again and I never looked back. The songs started coming to me and the time felt right." he said.

As the songs continued to come to Jon, he found things were lining up for him to put real time into the music. In his younger years, he had people that he would play with and they understood each other musically. In another act of happenstance that worked out in his favor, he was able to reunite with them.

“I ran into an old friend that's a keyboard player and we have a mutual friend named Bruce that has a studio. I was jamming there 25 years ago. I told them I had a few songs and I went there and before I knew it I had 12 songs." he said.

When people hear Jon’s music, he wants them to just have a good time and connect with how positive it is. It brings him happiness to make it and he’s going to keep releasing it.

“I don't have any negative lyrics in my music. I want people to hear it and use it as an escape. Good feelings and good vibes." he said.

“New Car” from the album GRAVITY (no situation) is available on streaming services now.
