My Chemical Romance have launched official Instagram and TikTok accounts dedicated to giving fans a place to connect while also sharing future news and exclusive updates from the band.
The Helena rockers, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and brothers Gerard and Mikey Way, are currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Black Parade on tour. The introduction of the new MCRmy pages appears to hint that even more projects could be on the way.
Sharing a teaser video on Instagram, the band wrote: "Today we are launching @MCRmyofficial on IG and TikTok as a home for our fans to gather.
"The MCRmy has been part of what we do from the beginning and we are very excited that there will be an official shared space for special updates, information, and media for all of you.
"We are humbled to be able to do this and that you all continue to show up.
"See you soon."
The announcement comes shortly after My Chemical Romance officially released their fan favorite cover of Common People by Pulp.
The recording, originally released as a bonus track in 2010 after being recorded for BBC Radio 1, is included on the upcoming reissue of Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.
The expanded edition also features Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) (Recorded For BBC Radio 1), along with newly remastered 2026 versions of SING, Planetary (GO!), Vampire Money, Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back, S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W, and Summertime.
The Deluxe Edition is scheduled to arrive in multiple formats on July 10.
Fans attending select dates on the anniversary tour will also be able to purchase an exclusive BL/ind tour edition vinyl release.
Away from the tour, the band also appears to be developing a new theater project.
The emo icons are rumored to be collaborating with playwright, actor, and filmmaker John Cameron Mitchell on a stage production.
Earlier this year, Mitchell, who wrote, directed, and starred in 2001's Hedwig and the Angry Inch, revealed on the Only Child podcast that he had been working with the band on "a project for theatre".
He added: “It’s a little secret. It’s not announced yet, but you know I’m gonna give you a little zzzt there. That’s all you’re getting."
Although Mitchell declined to reveal further details, explaining that paperwork still needed to be finalized, he spoke highly of the band.
He added: “And you know, we still gotta sign stuff, but they’re great people. They’re so luxurious now that they do one [show] a week.”
If the project moves forward, My Chemical Romance would follow Green Day, whose American Idiot musical, based on the band's 2004 album of the same name, ran for more than 400 performances on Broadway between 2010 and 2011 before touring.
The possibility of turning The Black Parade into a stage musical has been discussed for years, and Gerard Way previously addressed the idea in 2021.
Speaking with Travis Mills on Apple Music 1, he said: “There were talks very early about some kind of animated musical.
"Then there was talks a decade or so later about a musical. But the person who approached me about this musical there said, ‘Are you ever interested in doing Black Parade as a musical?’
"I was like, ‘To be honest with you, I think it’s too soon,’ at the time. I was like, ‘I don’t think the record has lived long enough.’”
